My Story
I am first-generation born and raised in Los Angeles, California and am the oldest of three children. When I decided to pursue a degree in Sociology (after my initial plans didn’t work out), I had a challenging time figuring out how to get started with a career. Being in an immigrant household and growing up in a low income community, my family (and myself included) was not aware of the different career paths that existed outside of being a doctor, lawyer, etc. and how to navigate it.
Through this experience, my career has since been driven by my mission to bridge the gap to access for opportunities especially for those with limited resources, bring to light the many different career paths that one can have, and support others with recognizing their potential and making their dreams a reality.
what does “bridging the gap” mean to me?
I recognize that it’s not just about providing the resources and uplifting those that need it — it’s also about systemic change and the infrastructures in place that allow for creating and sustaining “access” to any kind of opportunity. It’s two-fold, where one cannot work without the other. Through coaching and consulting, I leverage my experience with HR, DEIB, and operations, alongside coaching - being a “thinking partner” - to work with individual clients and organizations to “bridge the gap” from all sides.
more on my career journey…
I decided to pursue a career in recruiting with hopes of learning what companies look for when they are hiring and bringing that knowledge back to the community. Though I enjoyed my time in recruitment, I felt there was more I can do to bring opportunities to underrepresented and under-resourced communities. I discovered that something called “diversity, equity, and inclusion” existed and followed an opportunity to help build the foundation for the company’s first-ever Diversity Outreach team.
During my time with the team, I worked with a variety of community organizations and partners to create talent engagement experiences and diversity recruiting programs to address top of the funnel hiring gaps and employer branding strategies. I also worked with our Operations & Sourcing teams on the implementation of a new CRM tool while creating and refining our workflows and processes.
Outside of Warner Bros. & WarnerMedia, I also co-founded Radiance HQ with a few colleagues. Radiance is a community organization focused on leadership development with the intersection of navigating the challenges of being a women of Asian descent.

"Though I loved the work I did, I felt that my identity was so tied to my work that I wanted a break and to explore life outside of it.”
After a lot of reflection during the pandemic, I made the difficult decision to leave WarnerMedia. Though I loved the work I did, I felt that my identity was so tied to my work that I wanted a break and to do some self-discovery outside of it. I decided to spend a year living a nomadic life to explore what it was like to live in different cities across the United States, while also exploring entrepreneurship. I started career coaching in addition to working with Empathie, a start-up focused on self-guided mental health & wellness, where I supported with creating infrastructure for internal operations (people, legal, finance), branding, communications, and partnerships.
Since then, I’ve attended the coaching certification program at the Academy of Creative Coaching and have expanded beyond career coaching to include topics like cultural competency, leadership, and authenticity, while continuing as a consultant with various organizations and my role as Co-Founder at Radiance HQ.
